I’m worried about someone

Crisis Situations:

If you are on this web site now, you have a concern about someone and your concern is valid! It is always better to reach out now than to wish you had later.

Suicide – 1-800-784-2433

Notice – Is your friend or loved one acting in a way that worries you?

Ask – Don’t be afraid to use the word suicide. It is important to know the truth.

Listen – Be open, listen attentively and avoid interrupting.

Support – Someone who is suicidal may be tempted to bottle up feelings because he or she feels ashamed, guilty or embarrassed.

Get Help! – Never promise to keep someone’s suicidal feelings a secret. Be understanding but explain that you may not be able to keep such a promise if you think the person’s life is in danger. At that point, you have to get help.

Drug Overdose:

Call 911

Domestic Violence – 425-252-2873
